When adults volunteer, all students benefit! There are many opportunities for parents and community members to get involved! Your help is needed. Complete the Volunteer Interest Form and we will be in touch with you. Please note that any volunteers interested in working in the building or with students MUST complete a safe visitor background check through the school.
Blackhawk Walk – Now Online for 2025
Sheridan Elementary’s biggest fundraiser of the year is almost here. The Blackhawk Walk powers the programs, events, and classroom support that make our school a special place to learn and grow. This year’s goal is $15,000, and every step counts.
This year, donations for the Blackhawk Walk will be collected online through Givebutter. Here’s how to get started:

Add their classroom as their “team” so donations count toward class prizes.
Share their personal link with friends and family to collect donations.
Watch the leaderboard to see how your student and class are doing.
The Blackhawk Walk runs September 8–12, with the walk itself taking place on September 12. All donations directly support Sheridan Elementary’s programs, events, and classrooms.
